I have downloaded the installs that are publically available and the devloper materials from my MSDN account.

I'm creating a USB installer withe the x86 ISO  (x64 later)

  • x86 and x64 remote debuggers
  • en_dotnet_framework_4.5_developer_preview_x86_x64_735777.exe

1. My plan is to:Create a basic Win 8 installation (x86).  I'll use an Advantech (lower end) system that has Win 7 in a partition .. I'll use another partition if I can for Win 8.  I try to use my touch device with this.

2. I will try installing it to my Motion Computing CL900 (after backing up everything)  Windows 7 Tablet.  This system travelled around Europe with me and was a gem as Windows 7 tablet.

3. Try an x64 installation on my I7 system

I have ben asked to do a presentation at work on Win 8 next week so I need to do this.  I'd like to be able to demo Metro on the tablet.  Depends upon whether I can use its touch.
