CTO and co founder of THEORIS, Thierry Joubert is working on embedded systems design and real time software since the early 80's. In parallel with his missions of expertise for industrial companies, he and his team at THEORIS organise courses and technical seminars in engineering schools and universities. In year 2011, Thierry co-authored a book on Windows Embedded Compact 7.
CEloader v1.0.1 had a limitation at 32MB, the new version v1.1.1 overcomes this limitation.
I'm often giving Windows CE trainings using the same set of eBoxes, one of my concerns is preparing the boot configuration for each eBox in order to fulfill the course requirements. I'm now using a PXE-like solution using EBOOT on the eBox and and a dedicated TFTP loader on the workstation: CELOADER.
My mobile phone was an old 4 years old Wimo 5.0 and I had to change it. As Phone7 was made available last week in France I got a brand new LG once they were available in stores. Here are my first impressions: OS version: 7.0.7004.0 (yes wer'e on embedded101) This definitely is a "cloud" terminal, I got my face on the screen from the minute I entered my Windows live ID, in the store... This is such a "cloud" terminal that it does not even synchronize with Outlook, I had to push all my contacts to my Live account, and my agenda is still "in the middle of nowhere". I'm really surprised because I saw "Outlook hubs" in the review videos, do they use EMEA as a field test, like "let's see what happends when they can't synchronize..." (YES I was angry, almost brought back the phone to the store, lucky it was closed at night). Yes, I was referring to local Outlook synchronization. Exchange Server synching is definitely provided...
