As part of the process to develop device driver for a peripheral attaching to a Compact 2013 device, you need to work with an OS design to deploy, test and debug codes for the device driver.
To develop device driver for a Compact 2013 device, a properly configured OS design for the device is needed.
Device driver for Compact 2013 is created as a subproject within an OS design and required an OS design with KITL (Kernel Independent Transport Layer) enabled to support debugging. KITL is essential in developing device driver. In order to create an OS design with KITL support, the BSP for the device must include KITL support.
